Lit Lounge Show

This past saturday we had the pleasure of playing with our friends in the Soundscapes  who are absolutely amazing and you need to check them out if you haven't yet. We were very happy to be back in NYC as we hadn't played down there since July (don't worry we'll be back more often in the upcoming months). We want to thank all of our old and new friends for coming out. There were people in attendance from all points in our lives and it really meant a lot to us.

Werewolves were on after us, and it was nice to see them play (again). They have a sound from another time (try late 70s/early 80s) but slightly updated. People danced, it was great. Last was Modrocket who for 4 seventeen year old girls put on quite the show. Their singer has an amazing voice (No Doubt/ Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and they finished with a "Where Eagles Dare" cover. (Sweet).

Afterwards we headed back to brooklyn to meet up at the Werewolves loft where we spent the majority of the night hanging out with some mannequins and almost breaking things (unintentionally). Spent the night in Fort Glassman after victorious rock paper scissors and arm wrestling match wins. Thank you Gunfight! for always being so hospitable to our drunken nonsense.

On one final note: Ask your local beer distributors for Boar's Head Brew!

Plough & Stars Show

Last night we rocked out the plough and stars in central sq. with Justin Shorey. I love this bar. Its a small enough room that its easily filled and your audience is a foot in front of you, and theres no stage. Its the closest thing to a house party you can get at a venue and I really appreciated the intimacy. There was a great vibe.

We played the longest set we have to date , exhausting all of our old material and bringing out two new songs. Eric Dahlgren played sax with us again. I could hear him for the first time and it was GREAT! He really adds a lot to chainsmokers moody club feel and strengthens the waltz. Video footage was taken and will be posted soon. We had a wonderful time at the plough and hope to play there again.

The after party was at our place as usual. After the last party we didn't expect to need as much alcohol but people came thirsty and probably left thirsty as the beer ran out within the first hour. There was a great collection of neuroscientists and rockers in attendence along with a few randoms I'd never seen before.

Leap Year Party Show!

As you may or may not have heard, our recent Jacques show was cancelled due to unforeseen events out of our control. We were really looking forward to playing this one and hopefully it will be rescheduled for sometime in the near future. Please check out Abolition Band, Woodrow Wilsons and Carie Okie Band.

THE GOOD NEWS IS: We still played!

The wonderful wonderful boys (and girl!) in DolphinBot saved the day and hooked us up with a really fun house party in Somerville. Thank you Brian for having us. Wigs were worn, blood was shed, Brian Murphy & Barino made special guest percussion appearances. Most importantly Erik Dahlgren played his first show with us on Sax. His lovely melodies were heard on Chainsmokers and The Waltz, more to come soon.

As the night ended I couldn't help but be reminded of Great Scott as the water dripped began a slow drip from the second floor that spread and leaked and gushed lovely sewage water on the patrons of Pink House, at which point, it was time for us to leave. Look out for more shows at Pink House in the future.

There will hopefully be photos and video soon!
