Updates Updates Updates.....
We have a new song posted from our live performance on WMBR the other night. Its called "I'll tell you later" and will be on our new release sometime this fall/winter.
Last weekend was our first show at the Mid East Upstairs and we were happy to share the stage with our good friend in Trades and Territories and NYC's Third Border. I'm a big fan of the Middle East. I like the room size and set up. The sound was GREAT. This was probably one of our best performances to date, and I only wish we had it recorded. Trades and Territories were great as usual. I really like the new Territories songs and their new record sound fantastic! Make sure to check it out, when its ready, whenever that is.
If you didn't make it out we will be playing June 23rd @ Charlie's Kitchen with Territories, This Car Up, Dolphinbot and Doomstar!
Saturday we trekked down to NYC in the Dolphinbot van to play at the Lit Lounge with House on a Hill and The Aviation Orange. The van was nice and comfy but lacking some essentials (stereo and ac). Once we hit the city that van turned into a death chamber and I could not WAIT to escape. The show went really smoothly as we shared a lot of equipment. Dolphinbot experienced some "technical difficulties" we helped them out with ;) but they sounded great! We will be playing lots of shows with them in the near future. House on a Hill are one of my current favorite bands. They are wonderful people and sound incredible. If you haven't heard them or see them you really are missing out. I've brought back some copies of their full length "Nicest View of a War" and you can pick it up from me for $10 whenever. (fortyfourdistro@Yahoo.com). The Aviation Orange had a shortened set (sorry guys) but they made the most of it and had the crowd moving quite a bit. They're another Brooklyn based band (www.myspace.com/theaviationorange) if you don't know them yet!
I have now had a combined 6 hours of sleep the past 2 nights and am delirious and disoriented. If this makes no sense I blame that. Or Sal from Quiet Loudly for punching me in the eye. Maybe I should call it pink eye and go home for some R&R.
See you soon <3
